ABB distributed control system applied to Taiwan's power companies

On July 9, 2012, ABB's advanced decentralized control system, Symphony Plus, was applied to the largest independent power generation company in Taiwan and the 600 megawatt coal-fired unit of the power station under MPC's power plant to ensure stable and reliable power plants. Operation. According to the contract, ABB upgraded the distributed control system applied before the plant to Symphony Plus within 60 days.

The ABB Group was formed by the merger of two hundred-year-old stores, ASEA (Sweden) and BBC Brown Boveri (Switzerland) in 1988. It is one of the top 500 companies in the world and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. ABB is a leader in power and automation technology and is dedicated to helping power, utilities and industrial customers improve their performance while reducing their negative impact on the environment. ABB Group's business operations are distributed in more than 100 countries and employ 145,000 employees.

ABB's cooperation with China can be traced back to 1907 105 years ago. At that time, ABB provided China with a steam boiler. In 1992, ABB invested and established its first joint venture in Xiamen. In 1995, ABB China Holding Company - ABB (China) Co., Ltd. was formally established in Beijing. Today, ABB has a full range of business including R&D, supply chain management, engineering, manufacturing, sales and service in China, with 18,300 employees, 35 local companies, and sales and service networks in 80 cities across the country. In 2011, ABB’s sales in China reached US$5.1 billion, of which 85% came from local manufacturing.

ABB is the preferred supplier for Chinese customers. In 2010, 10 ABB local companies were selected as "China's Top 100 Electrical Companies." ABB's continuous investment in talent attraction, talent development and talent retention is a well-respected and outstanding employer.

MPC owns and operates the Maiji Supercritical Coal Fired Power Plant on the west coast of Taiwan. The seven 600 MW coal-fired units of the power plant were put into operation in 1999 and 2000 respectively. The power generated by the power plant is used to support the production and operation of its parent company, Formosa Petrochemical Co., Ltd.

The stable and reliable operation of power plants is very important for MPC. It not only needs to meet the demand for power grid access, but also provides reliable power protection for the parent company's production facilities and refining equipment operations. In order to improve the operational reliability of the two 600 MW units in the power plant, ABB upgraded the power plant's 12-year-old Advant MOD300 decentralized control system to Symphony Plus. The entire upgrade process was completed within 60 days and fully satisfied the customer's need for reliability.

ABB's Symphony Plus solution can control 16,000 I/O (input and output) ports in the power plant and includes boiler control and boiler management. According to the contract, ABB is responsible for engineering, procurement, simulation, factory testing, on-site construction and commissioning of the entire project. In addition, ABB also provides the latest UvisorTM flame detection system to improve the unit's combustion efficiency and thermal efficiency.

ABB successfully completed the entire project within 60 days while satisfying customers' needs for reliability and performance improvement. With ABB's advanced operator interface and power information management software (PGIM), operators can access relevant information faster and better.

With the latest S+Engineering Composer configuration configuration tool, power plant engineers and operators can browse process automation, field device configuration and maintenance, and other information in a single Windows application through a single and accurate source of system information, saving trouble-shooting and systems Maintenance time improves efficiency.

Butt Fusion Machines

The polyethylene butt fusion machine is the most used with the same butt welding device, and these devices are produced and supplied from 40 to 3000 mm, and capable of welding up to a pressure of 40 atmospheres. Yuda brand plastic pipe fusion machines are based on the standard DVS2207. This company's polyethylene welding machine is designed to be unique for carrying out work on site and workshop environment. Polyethylene pipe fusion machines are manufactured using the best quality raw materials available on the market, and the company's pipe welding machines are certified by the inspectors of the water supply and power plant, and all products with warranty and after service sales are offered. These polyethylene welding machines are tested, calibrated after producing.

There are types of HDPE Plastic Pipe Butt Fusion Machines; Manual Butt Fusion Machines is the most cheapest in all series. Hydraulic butt fusion machines are used most in piping engineering. For welding quality control, it will choose data logger for hydraulic hdpe welders named data-logging pipe welding machine. Then the toppest level is CNC Welding machine for polyplastic pipes which is the most expensive and comprehensive poly pipe butt welders, CNC welding and GPS and CLOUD system is its unique feature.
