The first issue is the issue of weak competitiveness of independent brands, especially self-owned brands. The market share of self-owned brand cars in 2007 was 25%. After the introduction of stimulus policies in 2009, it rose to 30%. Now it has returned to less than 30%, and the self-owned brand cars have shown obvious weakness in the competition process with foreign brands.

The past 30 years have passed since the joint venture has been able to develop independently. It is also necessary to develop in China. There are two very popular brands in Shanghai that are developed as joint venture brands, but they are not called independent brands. In this case, the independent brands have been under great pressure. The first is that no one has developed products fast, and the second is that there are no more people in technology reserves. I say that the 10-year gap is in this place. Now that the new technologies of foreign companies and joint ventures are all ready, the state requires that environmental protection laws and regulations be upgraded. The more recent regulations, the more fully prepared the joint venture. In this regard, there are gaps between our own brands, joint venture brands, and foreign brands. We have not yet mastered the technologies that people have already prepared.

The second is the brand. I have evidence that the number of failures of self-owned brands is equal to the level of joint ventures in 2004, with a gap of six or seven years. However, the feelings of ordinary people are not the same. The self-owned brands are obviously in a weak brand position. When will it improve? I hope to improve after five years. But can it be, this is a big problem. The problem that the industry needs to pay attention to is that companies must work hard and the government must support them.

The third is to solve the problem of fuel consumption. In terms of the natural endowment of China's automobiles, the advantage is the market, and the disadvantage is the resources. Now as far as the market is concerned, we are still half of the world’s average car ownership. Even in Africa and so on, we are half. At the same time, there are few resources. The degree of dependence on foreign oil is 55%, and it will reach 60% within two years. If it reaches 70%, it will certainly become the bottleneck of automobile development. Therefore, the car's fuel consumption must be reduced. The first is that the auto industry must strive to improve the technical level, but more importantly, the government. The government should formulate policies to encourage the use of small-displacement vehicles rather than let everyone choose. If the government does not guide and let the society choose freely, it is sure that the car is bigger and bigger, and it will consume more and more fuel.

The fourth, I think, should be a strong component. Without a strong component base, China cannot build a car power. Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea have strong parts and components. This is the policy of a powerful automobile country. The policy must be stable over the long term. I just mentioned the encouragement of small-displacement. Our problem now is that the market does not need stimulation, and small-displacement is not encouraged.

The fifth problem is that we need world-class companies and brands. To be a world-class brand and cultivate world-class companies, there are a lot of institutional and institutional issues to be studied, and there is the problem of using corporate culture to build a century-old shop.

Finally, the issue of overseas strategy requires us to open our eyes and consider the needs and resources of the target country.
